We Live For Empowering the Youth of Today & Tomorrow

What initially started as a pageant focused on Youth based Womens Empowerment, has steadily grown into a vehicle of change and opportunity allowing both Youth based genders to flourish as they learn to manage and host a event of this magnitude spanning Gauteng, Western Cape, Limpopo, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, North West and Mpumalanga from start to finish.

Unlike other pageants in the space, Miss Akasia South Africa is not a profit driven corporate interested only in its bottom line and profit opportunities. Miss Akasia South Africa is a registred Non-Profit Company focused on having a young dynamic team under 35 to learn on the job what it takes to grow, manage and enjoy collaborating with other like-minded individuals while dealing with any issues that may arise so that we prepare the youth for tomorrows challenges and veer away from the stigma of gate keeping which has become prevelant in the industry.

We are not a Beauty Pageant, We are a Pageant focussed on the Youths Growth. We are Miss Akasia South Africa !

Our Inception Point

Miss Akasia South Africa, a pageant originating in the North of Pretoria, Gauteng was created by a handful of the most bright and promising youth, focused originally on empowering and developing young women while emphasizing self-love and confidence. In running it, its team realise that it could offer more than that, it could offer opportunities for personal growth and career advancement for the people managing it while serving as a platform for local talents and acts. To date MASA (Miss Akasia South Africa) has hired over 100 difeerent performers from artists, DJs, podcasters and dancers to working with over 20 different designers in creating dresses for contestants over the years. Engaged in community outreach, we supports several Non-Profit Initiatives that raise awareness for local issues from the lack of basic hygienic products for men and women to the lack of stable food supply and school uniforms. Since 2015, MASA has expanded across several provinces as more external entries were being sent by applicants all over the country, leading to the succesful rebranding to Miss Akasia Miss Akasia South Africa and the opening of more doors across our multi-cultural country."

Modeling is not just about the physical appearance, it's about conveying an attitude, a sense of confidence, and a story with each pose.

MASA is dedicated to empowering the Youth of Today and Tomorrow through Leadership and Community Service Programs, providing a platform for African diasporas to share solutions, culture, and strategies. It serves as a prestigious National event, uniting representatives from diverse backgrounds. Contestants and titleholders are seen as leaders and role models, engaging in volunteering, fundraising, and advocacy to drive positive change. The Ultimate Winners of MASA receive tech tools to support philanthropic efforts during their period of reign. MASA fosters the internal and external growth of women in The Republic of South Africa, offering networking and commercial opportunities for youth in the community.
